Tegrity is a flexible software tool that can capture audio, video and computer screen activity, then wrap it up in a single "Tegrity session" which is automatically uploaded and linked into your Blackboard course. Tegrity can be used from Tegrity enabled classrooms and from office or home computers to create lessons, demonstrations, critiques, podcasts and other materials that can be accessed online.
Sociology instructor Karly Way describes how using Tegrity had made her examine her instructional delivery. This reflective commentary represents a valuable resource to other college faculty. WATCH THIS VIDEO

Joy D'Angelo and others use Tegrity to record student presentations and speeches, which are then automatically available in their Blackboard course.
If you want to use Tegrity, please let your Thatcher Bohrman know (thatcher_bohrman@yc.edu), then talk your Division Assistant Dean or Dean to get scheduled in one of the Tegrity enabled classrooms if you want to record in-class lectures. There are currently 7 Tegrity-enabled classrooms in Prescott and 1 in Verde, and we hope to have more district-wide very soon.
If you have a microphone and/or video camera connected to your computer, You can install Tegrity on any Windows computer you use RIGHT NOW. Install it by logging in to your Blackboard course, clicking on the Tegrity button in the left-hand navigation bar, then clicking on the "Record a Class" button in the top of the window that pops open. The software should install on your computer and open up the recording session right then and there. The instructor usage guide is linked at the bottom of this email message. Of course, computer glitches happen, so contact Thatcher Bohrman at x2352 for help if you run into trouble.
Thatcher Bohrman is the college point of contact for Tegrity support and training. Please contact him about getting a web camera and/or microphone, as well as to learn more about the software.
