Evidence of English Language Proficiency

If English is not your native language, you are required to complete the TOEFL - Test of English As A Foreign Language. The only exception is for students who have passing grades in first- and second-semester college-level English classes.

• A minimum TOEFL score of 450 (or score of 133 on computer-based TOEFL or a score of 45 on the internet-based TOEFL) is required for admission.
• Most students entering with less than a 500 TOEFL score are able to register for English composition courses by their second semester at Yavapai College.
• The Yavapai College TOEFL college number is 4996.
• United States embassies are also able to provide information and application materials from TOEFL.
