Purpose:

The purpose of the tutoring service is to provide academic support for students requesting assistance through the following tutoring options:

• Drop-in Tutoring (Math/Science, Writing, other subjects)
• Small Group Tutoring (Arranged by request)
• One to One Tutoring (Arranged by request IF ELIGIBLE)

Drop-In Tutoring

This service is free and available to ALL Yavapai College students. Tutoring is offered in math, science, writing and often other subjects. Please see the Prescott Tutoring Schedule OR the Verde Tutoring Schedule for subjects and time availability.

Small Group Tutoring

Small groups, study groups or language conversation sessions are arranged by the Prescott Tutorial Specialist or Verde LC Manager. Group meeting times depend on scheduling and availability and usually may not exceed 3 hours per week. This free service is available to ALL Yavapai College students.

One-to-one:

This free service is available only to students who meet the Eligibility Requirements for Student Support Services Program. One-to-one tutoring sessions are arranged through an appointment with the Prescott Tutorial Specialist or Verde SSS Advisor. The student is responsible for attending weekly scheduled sessions with a tutor.
