Web Training 101

Web Training 101 for web authors will be adding new tutorials on Web Trends, Wikis, Blogs and other stuff in the next few weeks

The latest version of Yavapai College's website has been designed to have a consistent aesthetic appearance throughout most of its pages and sections, allowing for a happier, more informative, and more satisfying user experience.

Are you ready to create and maintain web pages for your department with surprisingly little time and effort on your part?

Once you discover the few simple and easy to understand pieces of HTML and some of the "must know" aspects of our content management server (Cascade Server®) you'll be very pleased with the results you will accomplish on your pages.

Why do web authors enjoy the new version of the site so much?

  • Cleaner, clearer, easier to read content for page visitors
  • Happiness at the thought of working on their department's web pages
  • Excitement in knowing the website can be used as a meaningful tool of communication which would otherwise have been spent having manually explaining the same information over and over again
  • ... and much, much more :)

By re-evaluating and simplifying the approach that web authors, like yourself, needed in order update, upload and create new content, we discovered that sharing a minimal amount of information about HTML and simple ways to use it suddenly gave web authors extremely tight control over formatting of their pages while simultaneously maintaining uniformity with dozens of other web authors throughout the different campuses. Wow.
