College for Kids offers programs just for the fun of it! Children and teens can participate in sessions featuring robotics, art, photography, geology, magic, technology and the environment.
Classes are three weeks, affordable and convenient with instruction available at three locations in the Verde Valley and Sedona. With small class sizes, seats fill up fast so register early.

Kids roll, mold, pinch and coil with clay to produce functional and decorative pieces in this class designed to introduce students to the joys of ceramics. Young artists ages 6 to 12 will glaze their pieces, and have them fired by the pros. Choose June or July session, or take it twice and double the fun! $85

Young artists stretch their creativity while learning the elements of using mixed media in art. Challenges, satisfaction, and pride in completion will mark the process of creating mixed media art projects from start to finish. Individual student’s interests will dictate subject matter. $65

Teens flex their creative muscles using a variety of techniques to construct functional and decorative ceramics in this challenging and fun class. Glazing, loading and firing included. Attend both classes for a double dose of creativity. $85

Learn what it takes to amaze friends and family with the best beginner magic while improving self confidence, hand-eye coordination and public speaking ability. After the class use the free magic book with more than 60 tricks to bring out the hidden Houdini in your family. $75

Students have what it takes to gather a crowd and take a bow after learning basic magic including how to practice and rehearse each amazing effect. Not just entertainment, this creative art also improves self confidence, public speaking and fine motor skills. Creative young photographers learn to compose, journal, organize, and layout! Each class will be jam-packed with training in techniques and hands-on photo journalism fun. By the end of the course, students will complete one or more photo essays to treasure for years to come. Disposable camera included in course fee. $75

Students enjoy a hands-on, learning experience in robotics designed to introduce practical applications of science, technology, engineering and math. Working individually and in teams, participants will learn about current robotics technology, while constructing robots from plans (and imagination!).
Students also learn the dynamics of teamwork while making decisions about strategy, design, and construction. $75

Working individually and in teams, students will design, build and program mobile, autonomous robots as well as document their process on a weblog. Participants compete against each other on a 4’ x 8’ playing field in a friendly, non-destructive classroom tournament.
Indoor and outdoor activity with the student-built robots will develop programming and design skills, without the need for remote control! Working with robots presents real-world challenges, giving teens experience in evaluating options and working toward solutions. $85
